Background
Charlotte graduated from the University of Essex (Hons) in 2019 after which she went on to obtain her Certificate in Legal Practice in 2022.
Charlotte began her legal career under the tutelage of Peters Chambers in 2021 and completed her pupillage with the firm in 2023. During her period with the firm, she was exposed and guided in many different areas of law. She has been involved extensively in a wide array of civil litigation disputes involving the law of defamation, land and contractual disputes, divorce proceedings as well as probate and estates administrations.
Upon her admission to the High Court of Malaya in February 2024, Charlotte joined Messrs Zaid Ibrahim Suflan T H Liew & Partners in March 2024, where she was involved in handling general, civil and commercial litigation matters notably in commercial disputes and insurance disputes.
Notable Results & Experiences
- Assisted in a complex land dispute matter that successfully secured recognition of the beneficial ownership of a parcel of land after 45 years.
- Independently conducted trials in the lower Courts in insurance disputes matters
- Advised insurance companies on liability issues arising from insurance disputes.
