Who is Louis Liaw?

I am an Employment Lawyer and the Principal at Louis Liaw Chambers.

Louis Liaw Chambers is a law firm in Kuala Lumpur specialising in Employment-related Dispute Resolution and Advisory.

We have the capability and experience in advising and representing employees, employers, professional bodies, international organisations, and more, in a wide range of employment-related matters ranging from labour / industrial / civil court claims, statutory defence & pursuits (such as for breach of EPF, SOCSO), internal fact-finding processes and domestic inquiries, as well as advising on employment / service agreements, workplace policies, reorganisation & retrenchment exercises, disciplinary actions and more.

I was previously a senior associate in the dispute resolution team of Messrs Chong + Kheng Hoe and Messrs Rosli Dahlan Saravana Partnership, also with an added focus on Employment and Industrial Relations Law.

Other than Employment Law-related matters, I acted and/or assisted in various dispute resolution briefs ranging from minority oppression, defamation, customs offences to corporate fraud and more.

My background in both civil and criminal litigation has equipped me with the necessary skillsets and expertise to ensure my clients’ interests are protected and promoted at all fronts, as well as enabling me to be a strategic and all-rounded legal advisor to my clients.
